First letter

Dear Harri,

Thanks I loved your letter , glad to hear you're having a good time . I'm sorry this is a little late, until coming to uni I didn't really feel I had much to say! I left on Saturday midday and gradually became more and more nervous over the journey as we got closer, so much that I was wishing my mum would drive slower so I'd have more time to prepare myself hah. But we arrived and I was pretty quickly given a key and somehow in my flat that is this year's home. I'm staying at The Beeches , which is private accommodation about 30 minutes from the uni. I then got the chance to properly meet my flatmates over doing the inventory for my flat. There's five of us, Nathan and Lucy 2, who are second years, and me, Ben and Lucy 1 who are first years. We spent the night in , two girls called Rosie and Hafsah (Jim) from another flat came round , and we had a pretty early night.

Sunday morning, we had a pretty long lie in and all apart from Lucy 2 took a walk into the uni to have a look around . We had a look around the guild and then went to a Joe's bar, and sat there for a while. For some reason we were all pretty shattered and so sleepily trudged back again ! I came back and had a nap ready for the car park party which was happening at 7. There was some cider on offer so had a couple of them and somehow managed to land some punch that had run out as well( only just remembered that actually). I wanted to find some medics from Beeches and success! I managed to find three , and one dentist who will be so happy to be mentioned here! We were told at 10 that there was to be no noise and to go back inside ,so got changed and went back out to a club called Risa which is about 15 minutes walk away.

On Monday , I met up with Katie and Kav and we headed to the Fresher's Fair where we bagged some free pizza and way too many leaflets , and then went on to Joe's Bar , where we were sold paintballing tickets by this insane salesman! Nathan cooked us spag bol for dinner and we formed a wine glass orchestra, yes way to easily amused. We then headed to the flat across from us to be neoned up for the uv party which was at the guild.

After 4 hours sleep, I woke up for my first day at med school. I met one of my 'mums' and my 'sister' . We were shown around and given a chance to ask questions before heading on to our tutorial groups. It's a group of 17 of us , so will probably take a while to get to know everyone, but looking forward to it. I managed to get lost on the way home but have now arrived and am snuggled up in bed writing this :).

Hope you're well and talk soon
